Carer Friendly Communities

Three in five of us will care for someone during our lifetime and we all know someone who is caring right now. We work to educate our community to ensure that today’s carers are recognised, valued and supported and the carers of tomorrow are ready. See some examples of carer friendly communities in action below.

Dawn’s Volunteering Story

Volunteer Dawn

“The satisfaction in volunteering is sometimes just the fact that you’ve done something. It’s lovely mixing with different people, so refreshing to hear about their lives and understand what they’re going through. Volunteering opens your eyes, in a nice way, it’s not at all miserable.”
